Jasmine 8 is an instrumental ensemble with a fusion of various instruments used in different forms of music like Carnatic , Hindustani & Western. Jasmine 8 consists of young , talented , professional musicians who have excelled in their own fields & attained a hold on their respective instruments.
The first word that strikes our mind when we hear the word ‘FUSION’ is ‘CONFUSION’. We are here to prove it wrong. We are able to do this because of the perfect co-ordination between us & most important , understanding every instrument’s positive aspects & also limitations.
Our troupe is a beautiful blend of various instruments like Violin , Veena , Flute , Mandolin , Keyboard , Mridangam , Ghatam , Morching , Tabla & Drums.

A.P.SRINIVAS-VIOLINIST:
He is the disciple of violin mastreo H.K.Narasimhamurthy.He is an ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has many awards to his credit like “The Best accompanist” from Gayana samaja Bangalore and many others.He has provided violin support to many renowned artists like Dr.N.Ramani,Bombay sisters and others.He has also given many solo as well as duet concerts.
S.V.SAHANA-VEENA ARTIST:
She is the disciple of Vidwan M.J.Srinivasa Iyengar and Vidwan T.N.Seshagopalan.She is the winner of All India Radio national level competition and a graded artist of AIR.She has performed in various prestigious sabhas of India and abroad.She is recipient of many awards like “The best instrumentalist”from Gayana samaja Bangalore,”Ananya Yuva Pratibha Puraskara” from Ananya Bangalore and many others.
A.P.KRISHNAPRASAD-FLAUTIST:
He is the disciple of Vidwan A.V.Prakash and Dr.N.Ramani.He has given many concerts both in India and abroad.He has also given flute support to many dance programmes and light music programmes.He has also played for many recordings.
A.CHANDANKUMAR-FLAUTIST:
He is the disciple of Vidwan Gopalakrishnan and P.S.Narayanaswamy.He has taken music as his profession.He is an ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio. He is recipient of many awards and honours.He has given numerous concerts in India and abroad.
C.VISHWANATH – MANDOLIN ARTIST:
He is the disciple of Vidwan H.K.Narasimhamurthy. He has provided Mandolin support to many dance programmes and light music programmes.He has also composed music for orchestras & has played for many recordings.
G.S.RAMANUJAN-MRIDANGIST:
He is the disciple of vidwan P.G.Lakshminarayana. He is an ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan.He is a professor in Economics. He has provided Mridangam & Ghatam support to many artists . He has also trained numerous students.
TUMKUR B.RAVISHANKAR- MRIDANGIST:
He is the son & disciple of vidwan T.V.Bhadrachar . He had his advanced training under Vidwan Karaikudi R.Mani. He is a staff artist of AIR.He is an‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has provided Mridangam support to many artists . He has also trained numerous students.
V.S.RAMESH- MORCHING & GHATAM ARTIST:
He is a disciple of Vidwan P.G.Lakshminarayana. He is an ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has provided Mridangam , Ghatam & Morching support to many artists . He has also trained numerous students.
INDU SHEKAR-TABLA ARTIST:
He is a disciple of vidwan P.G.Lakshminarayana & G.S.Ramanujan. He is a ‘B’ grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has provided Tabla support to many dance programmes and light music programmes.He has also played for many recordings.
SHAD RACH SOLOMON – KEYBOARD ARTIST:
He has completed 7th grade from London school of music. He is the disciple of Sister John. He has provided Keyboard support to many dance programmes and light music programmes.He has also composed music for Films & has played for many recordings.
PRASAD - DRUMMER:
He is the disciple of famous drummer Babu. He has provided drum support to many western bands,dance programmes and light music programmes.He has also played for many recordings.
